Man trying to make Drew Carey give away $1 million
If Drew Carey can get to 1 million followers by the end of the year, he'll give $1 million to the LiveStrong Foundation. Right now he's only at a little over 100K. Granted, $100,000.00 is a lot of money and it would be a great donation, but $1 million would be so much better! :)

hahah so what was it I said about being around more? I guess I completely either a) lied or b) honestly didn't realize how long it's been since I updated!
But really, I'm back to working an insane amount of hours at work, and battling the exhaustion/sicknesses that come with spreading yourself too thin. Other than that, there hasn't been a whole lot going on. At least it's football season, which has got to be my favorite time of year.
I think I'm on facebook and twitter more than I'm ever on here so if you have one of those things, come look me up so we can stay in better contact!! :D

I feel so domestic today!
I've baked a chocolate cake from scratch, going to make frosting too, and the house is looking nice, just have to clean the bathroom and make sure the cats have everything they need in their room since they'll likely be in there all evening.
Having a little get-together tonight, it should be fun!

I have been SO lazy today, I'm almost disappointed in myself. Granted, that's what a nice long weekend is for but still. I told my boss I'd come in for a couple hours this weekend and I just couldn't bring myself to do it today. There are still 2 days left though so there's no telling when I might show up. :D
Today wasn't a complete loss though, I completely cleaned one of the couches and I'm currently waiting for the Drain-o to work on the bathroom sink. It says to give it a good hour so I'm just waiting til that passes. I might clean the other couch later, I haven't really decided yet. Or I may just chill out and sew, because that sounds like fun, and no play is going to make me very dull later!
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far, and I'm sending my thoughts out to all of those that need a hug or a kind word, whether it be virtual or otherwise.

I just got the notice that my paid account is about to expire. lol Now I'm debating on whether or not to re-up it. I mean, I'm using LJ daily, I just don't post much these days. And I can't imagine not having any icons to use anymore...I kind of like the stash of them I have.
I'll probably pay for it again and tell myself I have to use it more...which is what I did last year. :D Maybe this time I'll stick with it?

This has been the crappiest week ever....and it ended worse than it started.
Kel's in the hospital with pneumonia. According to the doctors she'll be there 48-72 hours. This...sucks, to say the least. I just got home from the hospital because she and I both knew I wouldn't get any sleep and I'm already getting sick myself (flu bug going around both of our workplaces). This way I can get some sleep and I can bring her stuff tomorrow.
The good news is she will have wi-fi access at the hospital so I'll be bringing her little laptop to her tomorrow. I'm worried to absolute death even though I know she's in great hands. I think I'm more upset about this whole thing than she is...anyone who knows either of us well shouldn't be surprised.
I'll keep you all updated with more information once I have it. With any luck, they'll decide she's progressing faster than most and she'll be home sooner than they anticipated.

The Spartans are doing well in basketball so far, both women's and men's.
The women just took down Duke, which totally made my night. Coach P left those girls hanging to take that job and it had to feel nice for them to beat the team she abandoned them for.
And it was nice to see the men's coach and some of the players there to cheer them on before they head to Indianapolis.
On to the Sweet 16 we go! GO STATE!

Ugh, how I hate cleaning.
Actually today it's not so bad because we did the majority of it before...now it's just finishing things up to make sure everything is ready for tomorrow's birthday party for dreamtrance. It should be a good time...we just need to make sure there's enough room for everyone! We're up to 20 people including us, so it should be quite the shindig! (I love that word for some reason.)
Now it's off to get the party groceries and then I get to bake cupcakes for Kel to take to work tomorrow. Maybe I'll make some for MY work too. There's no telling!! :D

My brother and sister-in-law welcomed their second child today...
I think I'm head over heels in love, seriously.
Her name is Laura Lynn and I absolutely can't wait to go home next weekend and meet her. Mom says she has her daddy's fingers and toes and that her big sister adores her. I'm a little worried about how Meadow will react once Laura is actually home to stay, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

So, yeah, I can fully admit to the fact that I've become addicted to a new band. They're called The White Tie Affair and they're 5 guys from Chicago that currently have a record deal with Epic Records. The music is a ton of fun and it's pretty addictive, IMHO. They just released their first "official" video yesterday and I'm completely ecstatic so I have to share.

I feel like Betty Crocker or something. lol
This week I've made 3 batches of peanut brittle (some for Kel to bring in to work, some for me to bring to work) and now I just made 2 batches of homemade caramels. Well, the caramels are cooling right now, once they're done comes the hard part - wrapping all the darn things! :) Some are going to Chris (our neighbor across the street) because she helped Kel dig out of the snowstorm yesterday while I was still stuck at work. The rest are for Christmas...if they last that long! haha They smell absolutely divine. After this it's cookie-baking time. I'm not sure if that'll happen tonight or not - I'm guessing not as it's already after 9. I'll manage to get it done though!!
I miss you all! I hope you're all doing well and for those I haven't talked to in awhile - I want to catch up soon!! <3!

This year I've been busy!
In January I bought porn for hammerhead22 (-10 points). In February I set keiran_c's puppy on fire (-66 points). Last Friday I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last Wednesday I pulled i_multitask's hair (-5 points). In September wonderdawg and I robbed a bank (-50 points).
Overall, I've been nice (195 points). For Christmas I deserve a new bike!
